One of my goals during our Clean Eating Spring Challenge is to be able to run a mile in under 7 minutes. Even though I teach yoga quite a few times a week, over the course of the past six months or so I have let myself get out of shape…at least for my standards. Between school and working three jobs I was averaging 80 hour weeks (no exaggeration) and my training regiment was one thing that totally hit the back burner. This weekend we headed back up to Burlington since my sister was graduating from college! My parents decided to rent a condo in the nearby town of Stowe, Vermont so Friday morning we all piled in the car and headed up north for the weekend. Is anyone else out there as obsessed with The Game of Thrones as I am?! I was really feeling like an intense cardio workout at lunch time but I didn’t have too much time so I decided to head on down to our company gym and bang out a quick and dirty treadmill workout that would be sure to kick my butt! Today is my 24th birthday and thanks to my lovely family it is off to a wonderful start. Today I really wanted to get in a good strength training workout during the day so that Mike and I could go for a nice run down by the beach after work.
