Hey Everyone! Hope you all had an awesome weekend, I sure did! On Friday night Mike and I made our way into the city for a Red Sox game which always guarantees a good night for me. Since they were playing one of the best teams in baseball and are not doing too hot this year, I didn’t have high hopes for us winning the game, but every night at Fenway is a fun night in my book. Like I predicted the Red Sox lost, but Mike and I had a fun time anyway.       Saturday […] Continue reading →

As promised I did not forget about one of the most important aspects of Cinco de Mayo…the drinks! Cinco de Mayo is my favorite holiday for making fun and entertaining drinks, loaded with tequila, rum, and fresh fruit flavors. Tip for making fun drinks healthier: When making fun celebratory drinks at home I always do two things. If a recipe calls for simple syrup (sugar), I replace the sugar with a little bit of agave nectar or truvia. Most of the time one of the two adds the perfect […] Continue reading →

I cannot believe how quickly April flew by! Between Easter, Yoga Training, and my Birthday the month seemed to start and end in the blink of an eye. Since today in May 1st I have decided to start a new series of posts on the first of every month that look back over the previous month and highlight ten of my favorite posts. This way if any of you were super busy, went on vacation, or are just really behind on your blog reading you can get a cliff notes version of the last month in one post. […] Continue reading →

Has everyone heard of Magic Hat Beer? I personally don’t get to enjoy it because of my Gluten Allergy but I have heard that it is pretty incredible tasting and I can totally appreciate their inventive and unique labeling style. Since the Magic Hat Brewery is in South Burlington, Mike and I both really wanted to go check it out. Even though I can’t drink beer I still really enjoy touring different breweries, the whole process is really interesting and the environment in every […] Continue reading →

My stomach is feeling pretty upset today. For the past few weeks it has actually been kind of up and down, probably because I haven’t been paying as close of attention as I should to the amount of fat and sugar I have been consuming. While I am very good at always staying away from dairy and wheat, my stomach issues with sugar and fat tend to be a little more challenging since I can have a little but not a lot. It is a big balancing act most of the time that lately I haven’t […] Continue reading →

This afternoon I really was feeling like my body needed a bit of an awakening. I just wasn’t feeling super energized and knew that a fresh citrus smoothie loaded with vitamin c would give me the boost I needed, much more so than any cup of coffee would. Since I luckily have the option of working from home on Friday’s I made my way over to our trusty Vitamix and got to work on my afternoon pick me up. Now this smoothie is definitely tangy and has a good amount of grapefruit […] Continue reading →

Last night after trading Valentines Day gifts Mike and I went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner, Estragon. Estragon is a Spanish Tapas restaurant which has great food and a huge wine and beer list. If you have never tried Tapas before you absolutely need to! It is such a fun way to enjoy dinner and a great way to get to sample a bunch of different options from a restaurant’s menu. Basically Tapas means “small plates” and that is exactly how you are served when […] Continue reading →

Last night Mike and I went out to dinner with his cousin and his cousin’s girlfriend for dinner at a newly opened, upscale, Mexican restaurant called Temazcal Tequila Cantina. I have been wanting to go here since it opened, but since it has a waterfront view the place has been nearly impossible to get a table at. Finally I think things have calmed down a little now that winter is upon us but this place was still pretty packed for a Tuesday night. Temazcal has an incredible atmosphere […] Continue reading →
