Hey There! I am sure you guys are noticing a few new things going on over here, the main one most likely being the blog re-design and name change which I just released about a week or so ago. While I loved my original “maknwaves” title a lot of really exciting things have been happening over here these days and I just knew that I really needed to change my brand name to something that really exemplifies me, my lifestyle, and would be a name that I could grow with. So enter Eat […] Continue reading →

This past weekend I hopped on an Amtrak train and made my way down to NYC for the weekend to see some of my best friends who I had gone WAY to long without seeing. I honestly was having way to much fun to really document much of my trip but since I love NYC at Christmas time I thought I would show you guys a few of the things that are going on there right now. Rockefeller Center at Christmas Time Macy’s Light Display SantaCon- When thousands of Santas take over NYC for an annual Bar […] Continue reading →

Aside from my minor 12 hour layover in the Washington DC airport my trip to DC last weekend to visit one of my best friends Gibs was awesome! We grew up together and then went to college together so it is really hard for both of us to get used to not being a 10 minute drive away from each other. Hence why I need to go visit her in DC more often Right now she is living with her boyfriend and few roommates that are all awesome. Gibs has great style and whenever we get together I think we [...] […] Continue reading →

Stuck

Woman in Airport Waiting Area

Well it hasn’t been the best start to the week…and I know that I need to write about my great trip to DC, but my 12 hour-long delay at the DC airport trying to get home Sunday night has left me a little behind on work and sleep! I arrived at the DC airport after an awesome weekend with my friend at 5 pm only to realize that my flight scheduled at 6 pm had been pushed back an hour. No big deal I thought until the delay proceeded to get pushed back further and further due to […] Continue reading →

DC Bound

dc

One of my best friends from home lives in DC and this weekend I am flying down to see her. I am soo excited! Even though I was ready for college to end when it did the hardest part about leaving is that all of my closest friends are so spread out around the world now and very few actually wound up in New England with me. Anyway it is a transition that is for sure, but if there is one good thing that comes from it it’s that I certainly have a lot of people and places to visit!! [...] […] Continue reading →

The first marathon I ran was the New Jersey marathon and I honestly have nothing but amazing things to say about this race. The race began in Long Beach, New Jersey and was one long loop which was great! Some races they make you repeat the loop twice or run an out and back course but in New Jersey they had the racers repeating very minimal parts of the course which kept the race exciting. From the very beginning the race was very well-organized. They sent out emails months ahead of time […] Continue reading →

nyc-luxury-apartments

I recently went to visit a few of my best friends in NYC. Two of them have both just moved into sweet apartments, one on the lower east side and one on the upper east side. I took the Bolt Bus down out of New England because it is super cheap and has free wifi. I would definitely recommend taking the Bolt Bus to any of their locations but if you have the funds my first choice would always be Amtrak. My Dad was nice enough to give me one of his free Amtrak tickets that he had acquired from [...] […] Continue reading →
