This is an AWESOME really easy recipe which is great to make for dinner if you are looking for something relatively light and o shall we say…haven’t had power to light up your stove in three days. In my three days so far of no power from Hurricane Irene I was able to read this book which is a really quick read and was a very sweet story. The Samurai’s Garden takes place during the Japanese invasion of China during the late 1930s and follows a 20-year-old Chinese painter named Stephen who is sent to his family’s summer home in a Japanese coastal village to recover from a bout with tuberculosis.
